How do I improve FPS, fix lag, and change graphics quality settings?

The Graphics tab controls the visual quality of the game and can significantly affect performance.

  • Graphics Quality: Set to Low, Medium, or High. Lower settings improve performance on older or less powerful devices.
  • Screen Resolution: Set to Low, Medium, or High. Lowering this reduces the rendering resolution, which improves frame rate but makes the image less sharp.
  • Post-Processing: Applies a visual color filter. Off gives the cleanest look and best performance. Classic adds standard color correction. Ocean gives a cooler, blue-tinted look. This is purely visual preference.
  • Draw Distance: Controls how far away objects and terrain are visible (e.g., 800m). Higher values let you see further but cost performance. Lowering this is one of the most effective ways to improve frame rate.
  • Field of View (FOV): Controls how wide your camera view is. Higher FOV gives a wider view but objects appear smaller. Default is 60.
  • Shadows: Turn Off for better performance. Shadows look nice but are one of the most resource-heavy settings.
  • Smoothing: When On, smooths visual rendering. Turn Off if you experience performance issues.
  • Grass: When On, grass is rendered in the game world. Turning it Off improves performance and can make it easier to spot items on the ground.
  • Highlight When Hovering: When On, objects and interactable items get a visible highlight when your crosshair passes over them, making it easier to spot lootable items.
