What's the difference between a Clan and a Team?
Oxide: Survival Island has two separate social systems: Clans and Teams. They serve different purposes and work independently of each other.
Clans
A Clan is a larger social group up to 15 for community and communication. Clan features include:
Clans have a rank system (Leader, Officer, Member).
Clans appear in the Clan List where other players can find and join them.
Teams
A Team is a small group of up to 5 players who play together on a server. Team features include:
Team members have their own markers and colors visible on the map.
You can see teammate HP bars and names highlighted.
Teams persist across servers - your team stays the same no matter which server you join.
Teams have a dedicated Group voice channel.
Key Differences
Size: Teams are small (up to 5), Clans are larger (up to 15)
Purpose: Teams are for direct gameplay cooperation, Clans are for community and social features.
You can be in both a Team and a Clan at the same time.
